Nature Loves an Audience

Bright direct sunlight just before sunset at Bandon's Facerock beach had me waiting while hiding behind a sea stack when the scene below unfolded in front of me. A whole line of seagulls perched on a rock, a crow down in front, and a lady with her dog all watching the nice show the wind, the waves, and the clouds were putting on....... I normally wait for beach walkers and their dogs to depart before shooting but in this case they seemed to fit the scene so I squeezed off a shot.

Facerock itself is farther out - these are much smaller sea stacks. I have never seen a tide so low you could get all the way out there and this image is showing a -1.7' low tide.

Hey Ben, you had me going! It does kind of look like Face Rock. I was thinking it must be an ultra low tide in order to get out there. But then Alan brought me back to reality.

Nice work Alan, adding the human and animal elements works great here.

Lot of nice elements here - the fluffy clouds, soft light silhouetting the rocks, the foreground shadows and of course the audience itself.
