Very nice - I like the cluster of blooms against the redwood trunk. At least for the southern end of the Oregon coastline mid to late May has shown me some pretty nice rhodie blooms.

Sweet, Zeph! But I'm curious, why do you feel you need to go to N Ca for rhodies? Or & Wa have quite a few......

Hey Monika - Your right, Rhodies grow up and down the coast ranges of all three states, I've planted numerous bushes where I live in Oregon. For me it's chasing the primordial essence of thousand old trees with lovely native blooms, it's that combination that inspires me. Redwood trees are a challenge to image obviously, so finding something to gage scale helps...
