My local church

Brampton old church is a 12th century church although now deconsecrated, it is also built on the site of a Roman fort which makes it historical. Wednesday was foggy so I walked down to get some photographs although by the time that I got here it had lifted a touch. The graveyard has lots of snowdrops starting to appear so more images to come. A focus stack at f2.8 to try and separate the stones from the background, not sure if it was worth focus stacking rather than shooting it at f11. Ken

Very cool Ken. That's so neat that it's built on top of an old Roman fort. Graveyards are neat and so it's awesome that you have one close by, especially with all of the history there.

I am not sure I would want to focus stack this. I think shooting at f11 or f13 would work better. If the background got just a touch out of focus that would be fine anyway since the fog would make things less sharp too.

Jim I focus stacked this tto decrease depth of field to try and through the far trees further out of focus. 2 images the first focused on the close gravestones, this image is used for the foreground and the far trees and sky. The second image focused on the church and this image is used for the midground stones and the church but not the far trees. I often do this when focus stacking flowers to further reduce the background to a very soft blur. I am not sure whether the difference in focus is worth the effort in this case and may try this again at minimum focus to reduce the background to only a hint of detail. Ken
