My back yard part 2

Here are some more images from my back yard in Spokane. I planted a lot of roses, rhododendrons and a few trees, although most of the trees were native. This was a forest before they built. The trees eventually shaded out the roses but for a while they were very nice.

The roses on the fence line, this is about a 50 foot length

A rose arbor over the stair connecting the front yard to the back yard. That cedar on the left was originally planted from a 4 inch seedling I found along the Coeur D' Alene river.

Some rodenderums.

You were rather serious about your roses. They look quite nice.

My wife is the landscaper in our house and was entirely serious about not having plants with thorns. We had quite a few roses around our yard but one day I came home from work and there wasn't a single one left

Thorns are a problem. In pruning season I had cuts and scratches everywhere. I also used my waders in the pond when it came time to move the pots out and do some cleaning.

Here is another row of roses.
