Mud Tectonics

Hey Jeffrey,

This looks awesome! I haven't shot much in that area and haven't shot those cracks that I recall. I definitely need to swing over there as those are pretty cool looking. How much longer are you going to be there?

Thanks everyone. Cracks are always fun and they stimulate the brain. Like health food for photography. (I think the low desert is altering my brain!).

Jim, I can hang here until Friday maybe. Now that all the clouds are gone, mid day is a bit boring. Looking for my remote spot to read and nap and figure which way to point the vehicle next. I come here with no itinerary. Pure freedom.

Hey Jeffrey,

Sorry I missed you (I think we only overlapped for a day. I didn't go searching for the mud cracks, but you found quite a display here. Was this Tuesday morning?

Sorry to miss you Tim. I arrived Monday and camped in the center of the Panamint Valley. Tuesday AM I was driving north on the main road and saw these from the roadside. Right There! Maybe 5 miles south of the intersection of 190. Although I photographed the cracks every which way, I might go back again on this trip. A fascinating place.

That is one inspiring shot. Death Valley is not an easy place to capture but you have done that very well. Nice monochrome processing also.

Really nice Jeffrey, I feel as though I'm making some kind of sweep between the matrix of the clouds and the cracks. Great capture.
