Mt. St. Helens and Peak Neighborhood Colors

The thread title says it all. I was doing a check on my gutters before the rains arrive tomorrow and noticed a great view of Mt. St. Helens just before landing. At a low enough altitude I could catch all of the nice fall colors in the suburbs along with St. Helens using a 166mm telephoto lens with the trees being just tall enough to obscure the rooftops. Kind of a smoky day from the leftover summer wildfires so not the best view of the snow covered peak but some really nice colors in the local trees.

Nice view of St Helens with the fall colors in the foreground anchoring this.

Using the drone to check your gutters - good thinking.

Thanks Jameel - I was pleasantly surprised at the view from down this low over the street. I need to try this one more often. The downside to the gutter check was spending time this morning on a 24' extension ladder cleaning them out although I did know exactly where to put the ladder.

This sure looks great Alan! What a great idea for checking your gutters! I need to the do same at my daughters.

And what a very cool shot!

Thanks Jim - Seeing this reminded me I need to spend more time exploring views closer to the ground instead of always flying high. This is just barely over the height of my house but high enough to get a view of the mountain I don't have from my second story deck.
