Mouth of Seal Cove

Seal Cove is just south of Secret Beach along the Samuel Boardman Scenic Corridor. The cove itself is much larger than the inlet from the Pacific so is somewhat protected during the harsh winter storms. I didn't see any seals in the cove while hiking along the edge of it on the way in but I presume someone did back when the name got attached to the place.

Your image really captures the beauty of this spot Alan. We just had another 1/2" of snow last night so it even looks more appealing!

Is this high tide? I don't see any beach areas for seals to even rest on.

But, I really like this shot. It's so cool seeing that inlet there. The drone sure does open things up.

Alan, the water color and the neat perspectives make these images shine.
Thanks Ben.

Thanks Jim - this is just before high tide. The cove beyond the inlet does actually have a small beach at the base of the cliffs. This is one of the scenes along this coastline that you can't see unless you are out over the water looking back.

I have made multiple passes with my drone along this Scenic Corridor after learning about some of the features while reviewing images from the previous visit. The more I study what I have already shot the more I learn about where to go for even better photo opportunities.

The water color is really neat from the air. Looks like you can fly miles around the coast and capture a ton of interesting images.

We haven't really been able to see most of the coastline along this area from the trails and roads. I went nuts finding different places to launch from to get views. The first time I flew in the area of Arch Rock I didn't even recognize Arch Rock until I was reviewing the captures. I promptly went back to get better shots :)
