I love those pink colors! And it's nice seeing the beach without foot prints. That is a pretty nice lead in with that water drainage. But it did make me think... it seems like almost all of your beach shots are always shot from way back up on the beach? I don't recall any where you are close to where the actual water is. Maybe I have missed them? Not sure why that just hit me today. I think I shoot the opposite, with shooting some from way back up the beach like this, but the majority of mine I am down where the water is breaking on the shore. Neither way is right or wrong, just different styles of capture. Have you noticed?

Yup - I look for something to hold up the composition and if there are no rocks within the scene up close I step back to get something besides just the water. I will head right down to the water when I have rocks in the water to add interest. Splashing water is always neat but we have a lot of beaches up here that are just endless sand which I find terminally boring so I look for something to provide a leading line out to the water.
