Moonlight Reflections

A number of years back I went up to Mt. Rainier for a few days at the Paradise Inn just before they closed the doors for the season. As (bad) luck would have it there was smoke in the skies from some distant forest fires that made quite a mess out my efforts to shoot. I was determined to shoot Mt. Rainier from the Reflection Lakes area by moonlight anyway so spent part of the night alongside the lakes to see what I could get. The smoke was pretty notable but I have managed to tweak some images enough to make them workable. This was probably the best of the lot for Mt. Rainier itself.

Hi Alan. I tried a moonlight shot of Rainier several years ago, my first night shot, but at a turnout below the Paradise road Junction. I have stood just about where you were for this one at other times.
