Nice testimony for Enhanced Mode. I'd run Topaz DeNoise on it first and then decide whether it needs sharpening or not.
Thanks Ben. No stacking or video, just handholding. I don't have the time to do video of the moon at this point.
Enhanced mode is okay, I am not sure the moon is the best subject for it, I would say it's slightly less sharp then without it, but it is pretty good I would say.
I don't have Topaz DeNoise, I like Noiseware a whole lot better.
PS... I didn't do any noise reduction or sharpening. I was really just curious how close I could get. I think it's pretty exciting that with just a Nikon D850, a Tamron 150-600mm lens that I am handholding can get that kind of detail. I find it totally amazing really.

I like this, definitely a departure from many of your previous Moon images. I am not sure if more sharpening would be beneficial, very easy to start introducing artifacts that way. I like the detail here, especially for a single hand held image! Perhaps a little more NR could be beneficial too but I am not finding it to be a problem myself. Great job!

Thanks Mike. I don't believe there is any noise so no need to use a Noise Reduction. There is a lot of very small impact craters that might pass off for noise. There is I believe a few artifacts from the Photoshop Enhancement enlarging, and noise reduction wouldn't reduce those without destroying all of the sharpness from the edges of the larger craters.
This more than anything was initially a test of just how close I could crop, and to do that I needed to raise the resolution, which I did with the Enhancement tool in ACR. I have long been envious of those guys shooting Lunar Astro and the awesome crater detail they would get. This certainly isn't on their level, but I thought if I could even just chop up the moon in the crop enough to get a partial moon shot with better crater detail. I was very happy with this.
