Mobius Arch

Here is an old one from Mobius Arch in the Eastern Sierra in California where I was playing around with a few different types of compositions. Although shooting it with Mt Whitney in the arch is the classic shot, I actually feel that Lone Pine Peak fills it better.

the peak of Lone Pine Peak fits perfectly with the notch in the window of Mobius Arch. There aren't many options there, with the next boulder behind the arch, so good job, Jim!

Yeah, I never understood the attraction of Mt Whitney thru the arch. Mt Whitney would be indistinguishable if it weren't for the two, lower peaks to it's left. This makes a much better photo.

Thanks so much Monika! I am glad you liked this, and you are right, there isn't a lot of options there so typically it's the light that happens to show up at sunrise that can make this special.
