I wouldn't have even thought that. With todays phones, I would think that it would be pretty impossible to prevent even if there is a policy as it seems in todays world only 10% of the population can read.Neat shot of these ornate works of art.
Nice they let you shoot there. I got kicked out of one venue (Jantzen Beach) for shooting pictures of the horses since they are considered unique pieces of art. Turns out quite a few merry-go-round sites have a no cameras policy.
Thanks Alan the horses are real works of art and fun to shoot. I did not notice any no photo signs when this image was taken, about 5 wars ago!Neat shot of these ornate works of art.

Thanks for the comments Jim, appreciated. This image was taken indoors with open shade for light, perfect for capturing all the detail.Awesome Larry, you got some nice detail!
I need to get back over there. The surrounding area to Santa Monica Pier is not the best. It's been so taken over with homeless people and car break in's are so often. I used to go down there all the time 20-30 years ago. I used to Rollerblade there after getting off work in fact. But now, Santa Monica and Venis beaches I tend to avoid for safety reasons.
That explains how these are lit up so nicely and evenly. That's really great! Thanks for the comments Jim, appreciated. This image was taken indoors with open shade for light, perfect for capturing all the detail.![]()
