When Ed and Fred posted their Chistmas Tree Cluster images in the last week, I knew I had to finally capture it myself. I had seen photos of this before, so it was one that I had wanted to capture, but after seeing the work of Ed and Fred, I just had to try.
This represents a first for me, this is image from 2 different sessions. The First and the majority of the data is from by Factory Butte in Utah on the 21st. The Second session was from Joshua Tree on the 23rd when even though I knew I had a fever and was running a temperture from the flu one of the grandkids and given me, I decided I had to take advantage of the clear sky instead of driving the rest of the way home to California.
I have been in bed since yesterday afternoon, the fever is gone, and I don't feel 100%, but I had to get this processed on Christmas!
I also added a few star spikes, something I also haven't done before, but I thought it worked with this one.
