This is so awesome! Love the detail in this, you are making me drool. I had no idea there was so much detail in the heart of the Heart Nebula.

Spectacular is the right word for this. So why do I see stars if you eliminated them?
Hi, and thanks ! Sorry I was not more clear. I’ve been trying out a new processing workflow. Early on after stretching the data, you can copy your working image and run Starxterminator or Starnes++ on the image. This will generate nebula only and stars only images. I can adjust color, contrast, sharpness, and reduce noise on the nebula only image without effecting the stars. I can also then do the same to the stars only image. Then I can add the two processed images back together with pixelmath. All of this is inside Pixinsight. I can also reduce the contribution from the stars as much as I like. This is great as lots of nebula pop more if the stars are not bloated and don’t overwhelm the gas !
Hope this helps !
