Mandelbrot Sand

If the title makes sense then you are probably a math geek :)

I was out on a beach this evening waiting for a sunset that fizzled and spotted some water coursing through the sands that reminded me of the patterns produced by the Mandelbrot Set. Decided it was worth shooting.

C&C always welcome.

A link if you have never heard of the Mandlebrot set.

Nice one. And, yes, I'm a math geek. I actually have published software I called The Mandelbrot Adventure Kit. It was released for the Amiga (Fred Fish Disk #522) many moons ago. :)

Good one Alan, and I am also a student of fractals.
Thanks for the comments - I wondered how many math geeks would chime in with the thread title :)

Steven - you just dated yourself mentioning the amiga software you wrote. There was a flurry of computer graphics activity right around that same in the early 80's that focused on making images using the Mandelbrot Set.

That's so cool. That was a very fun time in computing, it's great to hear about others that had written and published software. Some of the very first educational software for Windows when it first was released was written by me. I also had written a bunch of Biblical software and business software for Windows, DOS, CPM and others.
