On my return home from visiting Mom, in Dec '15, I managed to finally make it to Moab, UT.
Craig Carr was kind enough to meet and take me to a couple famous places. It's an awesome area, and I only made a dent, so a return is definitely planned, possibly this winter.
While at Dead Horse Point, one of the awesomest views imaginable, I caught Craig doing his thing....

Looks like a pretty neat moment to be out at Dead Horse Point. The Canyonlands area can be really incredible with a light dusting of snow although not exactly a warm place to be.....

Super shot, Barry, I love this place almost more than any in the Grand Circle and Craig is an excellent and knowledgeable guide for the area. I'd love to go in Winter to be able to see the canyons in the snow as the white of the snow on the red rocks really sets things off. I like the compo here and you had a reasonable sky - it's always been cloudless blue when I've been there!
