I captured this on a rare cloudless night. I wish I had been able to go to a dark sky location, but due to having to help watch 3 of my daughters kids, I couldn't leave her house. So the best I did was setup the Seestar S50 and test out it's new EQ mode.

I am in the middle of loading my gear up to head back to California, so this was a quick process and a quick write up, with no time to discuss the new EQ mode and issues. :)

It's about 3 hours of data with the built in LP filter and about 1 hour of with just the IR Cut filter. Processed in Pixinsight and combined in Photoshop.

All comments are welcome,

Jim

Nice result for as you describe it a "quickie".

Drive carefully.
Thanks Alan.

It's snowing up in the mountains the last few days but should stop this afternoon. Tomorrow is projected to have a bit of sun, so hopefully enough to make sure there is no ice. So my current plan is to get my truck packed up today and leave first thing in the morning after the kids get off to school. I will probably hit some traffic going through part of Denver, but hopefully not too bad.

Nice - I had not yet seen any SeeStar images with the EQ mode enabled. Looks good!

I appreciate that Mike.

This one doesn't really show off the EQ mode too much. What I am looking forward to is getting 4 hours or 6 hours on a target without field rotation.

What was nice with this one was that it let me test out the new EQ mode, and see how easy or difficult it was to set up. It was pretty easy, the interface on the app walks you through each of the 4 or 5 steps.
