Looking Up

The Northern Lights aren't always just to the North. In this case there was what is called a Corona and there were colors straight up in addition to the North. On the night of this solar storm, a bunch of my friends from Minnesota were saying that they had to switch and aim their cameras to the South as the Aurora had enveloped them. That would have been crazy. I did have on this night where I had in Chugwater Wyoming, the colors at 270 degrees around me. So not quite touching the southern horizon, but getting close.

This is a rare time.

It's been so cool getting to capture the Northern Lights 3 or 4 times a year for the last 3 years.
