Local Oaks

I try to go for a hike on a local trail each weekend, sometimes bringing my camera and sometimes just enjoying the views and getting some exercise. This morning I decided to bring along my 14mm lens and look for some nice oak trees. I was surprised to see some grass finally growing in the hills, so I looked for a nice green patch of that as well. I just couldn't help myself with the sunburst...

Any thoughts are welcome.

Definitely a nice sight and the sunburst is a nice touch.

You have leaves on your deciduous trees?? It's going to be a while before we see things like up here. I should cheer up - I am not living in New England where this color only exists on computer screens :D

What a cool shot, that 14mm worked well here.

I think your wife made a good choice for the Weekly Photo Contest.

Very Pretty, reminds me of my time in the Bay Area. Loved Mt. Diablo and the green hills.
By the way, I've tried to post several times now and the image never comes up.

Are you linking to an image on FB? I practiced that and got it to work. First I clicked on the image in FB to bring it full screen. Then I right clicked on in and selected "copy link". Then in my post here I clicked on the insert image icon and pasted the link into the pop up box. You can practice in this thread if you like and Jim and I can help you out.

Lovely scene, Kyle; made so by the natural slope of the ground, the beautiful green colour, the posturing oaks and, of course, the sunburst which casts its light upon the green. Nicely done.
