Livin' on the Edge

There's a canyon a bit southwest of the Wahweap Towers east of Cottonwood Canyon Road, with some interesting hoodoo formations of it's own. So I asked our friend if he'd go over and "stand by that ledge" so I could use him for scale. I didn't expect him to get this close, but it worked out nicely for me.

I have seen a few shots from this area but have never had wheels that could get me back in there. The inclusion of scale is enlightening in this case - I would not have had a sense of it at all without him.

I love the colors you process in your images, Bart. I am not a fan of heights so thinking about that guy gives me the willies. Great image!

Thanks all, it was a great day that followed perfect sunrise light at the Ghost Rocks. Jim, actually Dave was shooting with me, where I was. It was Yermo.

Bart,
Very interesting image. Love the person for scale. I do the same thing often I think it adds another dimension to the image. Nicely done.
