Little House on the Prairie

This is a replica of one of many village houses that was on the flats just west of the trading post palisade in the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site. Same stacked fence I already posted a shot from. The Fort Vancouver site that was originally built by the Hudson Bay Company when this was still British territory was eclipsed by the presence of the U.S. Army starting the the 1850's. The U.S. Army occupied the land just north of the Hudson Bay structures and over time built up considerably larger facilities that were still in use during WW I and WW II. Buildings in the background are part of the U.S. Army presence.

This is really cool Alan. I like the added history too. Good job on the look of this with the leading line of the fence.

You are getting good at this IR to my untrained eye.
Cool shot / subject, and I like the history you included.

Nice view along with the historical narrative. Like the IR rendering. Was the barn selectively desaturated?
Thanks for the comments Ben, Amy, Jim, and Jameel. Learning the history behind what I am shooting has been a focus of mine since my days as an Archaeologist. I like to pass it along as a part of presenting a scene whenever applicable.

Jameel - yes I desaturated the cabin selectively. It had a bluish tint to it with some reflected yellow-reds in a couple of places that looked just downright ugly to my eyes so I used a brush tool in ACR as a layer filter in PS to remove the color entirely.
