Lilies of the Day - Round 2

A couple more Daylily shots from yesterday. We had some rain the day before and overnight to add a nice touch to some of the blooms.

First up is a variety called Purple Waters:

I couldn't find a good match for this specific variety. There are several that were quite similar but none had the smooth edge yellow petals like this one shows:

I like the glow in the center of the flower in the first and the water droplets in the second one. Nice colors.

Thanks Jameel - I had some really nice backlighting for the bloom in the first image which highlighted the center. I loved the water droplets on the second bloom but was surprised that not all of the blooms I was shooting had the same amount of them present.

I am a bit behind on this. So many things going on with the grandkids here in SoCal as they are on vacation, it's just crazy hard to keep up.

Thanks Jim - I suspect the kids are reminding you that you no longer have the same levels of energy they have This pair of daylilies put on a really nice show when they first blossomed. I do wish the blooms lasted a bit longer but that's why they are named daylilies.
