Jim has graciously supplied an image to play with. In this case, he thought a RAW required too much work so he supplied a processed image with the idea of working the sky color differently.

This image can be downloaded and worked as you see fit then reposted here.

Very interesting Ben and Darcy. I like what you did Darcy, maybe try to now get the background sky to go more blue?

I like this one best Darcy, but since we have no real frame of reference with the natural eye, at least at this brightness, it's hard to know. The sky is just black to me at night, with just a few stars.

Hey Darcy, you did pretty good with this. I like your last edit.

In order to get the last of the purple gone in the lower right sky, you would need just need a layer mask to select that corner. I would let it have a hard edge again the ground and temple area, and then feather it out into the sky.
