Ok here is my attempt. It was easy to fix the darkness, but I only corrected the geometry part way because further correction distorted the mountain too much.

I like the color you got. You were there when I shot this. I will be looking for your version at landscape

Here is the same image with a ton of vertical transformation applied. It has the same processing as the first one I submitted other than the vertical transformation in Lightroom. This is as far as you can go before you cut off the top of the foreground mountain.

My problem with this version is that it was originally framed as a landscape shot while the desired subject is better suited for a portrait orientation. The bottom feels cut off given what we have to crop with the vertical transformation. The original framing you did in camera and I submitted in the first image feels more natural to my eye as a composition. Please leave my first image as my entry.

Thanks Alan I had the same results. Jameel has a vertical version he took while we were there at landscape. You are correct, it should be vertical. I don’t care much for verticals so I seldom turn my camera that way
