Ok, I will start. This is a dark image taken under fairly dark conditions rather than the bright red we are used to seeing at dawn. I liked that aspect and while I could have brought up the shadows a lot more, I left it on the dark side.

I also left it uncropped to show the rich foreground foliage.

Very cool Ben! I like your take. I am driving out to Death Valley to shoot the Milky Way tonight so I can’t Play with it now. Maybe I can get a Window tomorrow to try.

Jim, this image makes me want to go back over there and hang out around Skyline, the Temples and Cathedral Valley.

It sure does! I am ready to go back that’s for sure. Hopefully in a couple of weeks.

It is terrific to get to play with an image with colours that I don't normally see. I did make the mistake of converting it to Adobe RGB and when I converted it back to SRGB the deep yellows and oranges collapsed, this is something that I am used to with sunsets and red poppies but have not come across with rock. I have cropped it a bit but would probably crop some more off the right hand side. With fairly uniform foregrounds I have taken to introducing patches of brightness and have done so here. I have also softened the sky ( negative clarity) because it was in danger of grabbing too much attention from the rock tower. I may go back and redo it in sRGB throughout but am off to a photo exhibition and sale to try and sell some images. Ken

I think I came up with essentially the same thing you did except for the crop.

Thanks a lot for joining us Rick, and this is a great rendering IMO. Especially since it looks a bit like mine :-0
