Alan, I think at this point we need to abandon the water issue and just focus on the best overall process. I realize it does not need much, but things like how warm, how saturated and how contrasty to make it are variations. Also cropping. How would you finish it if it were yours?
I agree with you Ben.

I would love to put something up too, but I am in Yosemite shooting fall colors and doing more travel videos. So it just depends when I get back home if I can contribute this time.

As to water, and trying to change it from a static water shot to a motion water shot. If Rick really had his heart set on it, the best solution I could come up with in my head would take a lot of work, but basically it’s this.

There are I think 3 main areas in the water where there is motion, you would have to take one at a time.

Taking the top one, you would zoom in and see how many pixels the water is streaking now.

Duplicate the layer 5 to 10 times. (It would take some experimenting) then move each layer a couple of pixels in the direction of that water flow.

Of course use layer mask to isolate the area of water you are working with.

Turn the layers into a smart object.

Use Median or Mean blending and hopefully now the water is streaking in focus.

Flatten the layers and then go to the next water motion area and repeat the previous steps.

I think it’s doable. But as I said earlier I don’t think it’s necessary. :)

I will give it a try this afternoon :). I have been caught up with helping my son purchase his first home & busy at work so haven't had much time. Glad I don't have to blur the water :p
