This cabin is found in the Middle Fork of Taylor Creek on the trail to Double Arch Alcove. I did not find a good composition for the alcove, but I liked the cabin.

Looks like 1930 was the year it was built as part of a homestead.

Are the logs wet or is there some kind of preservative that has been applied to the wood? That looks to be in much better shape than some of the cabins in Utah I have seen that have similar construction dates.

Lots of shine on them, I even cut some of it, not sure what it is.Nicely air conditioned for summer
