A part of Paris that doesn't usually attract photography.

The "face" sculpture. (The most interesting of many outdoor sculptures IMO).

The arch is very familiar...and popular!

Interesting street photography - the face sculpture is intriguing again the backdrop of the curved glass building.

The sculptor is pretty cool I think. That arch? I think that's kind of pushing the idea of an arch, but I guess when one is in the city, you don't get too choosy.

Supposedly this "new" arch was designed to line up perfectly with the famous Arc de Triomphe some distance away, but I've read the alignment is off very slightly. In any case La Defense has become a major business center in Paris -- just not part of "romantic" Paris.
