King of Wings Points the Way

Before I pack up in Ridgway heading down to the Bisti area, I thought I would post a King of Wings shot. The sky had some really thin clouds in it that were dissipating from the day. I am horrible at star names or planets. I am guessing that is Venus or Mars that turned into a bright round ball?

All comments are welcome,

Jim

I love what the clouds did for this scene. I will leave planetary identification to someone with a clue.

This is a great background for that ICON with the colorful sky yet still showing stars and that bright planet pointed out by the wing.

Thanks Ben, I really liked how I was able to line up the composition to line up the planet with the wing.

Awesome "alien" like image Jim. I going to go out on a limb and say that's Saturn.

Hey Ryan,

Saturn? That sounds good to me! :)

Glad you liked it.

While out in the NM desert this week, I decided to explore a different way to get into this. So I do have some new shots of KoW I can post in the next few weeks.

What direction were you pointing, what day, and approximate time?
