Jumping Spider and Cucumber Spider

Photography has certainly taken a back seat for the past 12 months but the summer has inspired me to dust my camera down and get out there again.

The first image is a Jumping Spider that was running around on my fence. A combination of trying to capture a moving target coupled with the fact my flash wasn’t recycling quick enough meant I only had a few photos to stack. So this is a stack of 3 photos 1/250 - ISO 100 -f11

The second is a small (and far more compliant) Cucumber Spider. This time I managed to stack 10 photos 1/250 - ISO 400 - f11

Both taken handheld with my Canon 7Dmkii, sigma 105mm, Raynox 250, Guage diffuser and Godox 685ii flash.

The cucumber spider would definitely win a beauty contest between the two although both are creatures that make me glad they are small and I'm not :)

Nice macro work.

I saw your name, and was glad to see you again! It's awesome to have you back, and I hope you have a summer filled with photography.

It looks like you are starting off with a bang, as these are really some great images! It's a pain when flashes don't recycle fast enough, but the 3 you for #1 sure worked out good.
