Built in 1962 and designed by noted architect Paul Hayden Kirk, the building blends the features of a Japanese tea house & a Northwest Native American longhouse. I wouldn't mind being a guest here . Bloedel Reserve, Bainbridge Island WA

They say Mr. Bloedel was color-blind, and as a result he was more interested in texture & shape than color. Though he did plant his wife rhododendrons, over a dozen species in the Glen and candelabra primroses around the Christmas Pond. there are also Camellia, carnivorous plants, Orchids.
