Yes, that is the official name of this place. It is also officially a Non-Profit Organization within Nevada. A good place for a post-apocalyptic movie location. Open 24/7 and free to all, whenever I drive by on Hwy 95, I stop if there are any atmospherics happening.
These images both face north, that's about the only direction with an unobstructed sky. East, west, and south have some high hills blocking about 20 degrees above the horizon. So you'll need to shoot a twilight image for blending or else have a dark band between foreground and sky. There is also an area about 50 feet below the buses where the cars are. It"s even worse. Good luck and show us what you come up with. If I'm ever there at night I think I'll just go for star trails behind the cars/buses!
There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
