Infrared version of Skyline Overlook

Early Sunday morning Grizz and I ran up to Skyline to capture some sunrise shots before heading out. After sunrise I took these IR images, and was surprised how well they worked. Now I am itching to get back out there to do more IR work.

These are absolutely gorgeous Amy. I don't do IR and often don't care for the results but your work is fantastic. I think I like them in the order posted, but I like all of them.

Thanks Ben, that's quite the complement. I'm not a big fan of the "main stream" IR, I try to put my own unique spin on it.

@Amy Nelson - this is XLNT work! I especially like the middle image (a B&W version of the first image) - you've created perfect tonal separation between the foreground and background, and this in turn gives the result a strong sense of mood and drama. Well done!

Great session, Amy. I really love the BW, though all have a unique and fabulous look. I'm glad you guys went back there again. So did we on Sunday. So very nice to meet you and work together.

Totally awesome Amy!!! Love the varied look between these. Skyline looks to be great place for IR.

And you will be glad to know that I took a couple of IR up at Black Canyon tonight, though it was getting dark and had to do 2 minute exposures at iso 3200 to get it halfway exposed right.... so who knows how it will look.
