Iceland Video

Hey Kyle,

I had meant to view this when you posted it, but just finally got to it.

This is pretty nice. I have tried a time or two to remember to do some short video's, but normally I forget. It's great to see you hadn't, as this is a nice compilation. My only suggestion would be to not have every video snippet be a static position. Zoom in some as the video is recording, or maybe pan across a scene. Your movement as you followed the puffins towards the end was nice.

You sure have me wanting to go to Iceland! And when I do finally get to go as I make my plans this video will be something I watch.

That's a really neat video and a very impressive place to shoot it..
Thanks Ben - I like them as a nice way to remember the feeling of being there.

Thanks Jim. Your suggestion is spot on. I usually just flip to video for a scene I've composed for a still shot and generally don't want to mess with my composition. On my next trip I'll force myself to play around a little more with motion.

Iceland is worth the trip - and relatively easy to get to.

Your video could be a successful mechanism to boost tourism in Iceland. I personally liked your use of motion within the still frame. A combo of still photography and video.

Kyle:

Very nicely done! It brings back fond memories of my trip to that landscape photographer's candy land.

I am going to have to remember that my camera has a video button. Thanks!
