IC2118, the Witches Head Nebula

Taken last night
I had hoped for more data, only got just under 6 hrs before the clouds rolled in. Not bad considering how faint this thing is.

That is one very faint nebula! I captured it a few years ago with my DSLR setup, it was a pain. I would love to do it again with my new setup.

I was told it was too purple, ( I am purple/blue color blind) did I improve it?

Not sure what it should look like color wise. I like both versions.

Very nice - and yes, to my eye that second rendition looks more 'accurate' (not that any of us astrophotographer pretty picture types get too worked up over that ). I need to revisit thsi target myself, as I shot it years ago with a binned DSLR and therefore it is ont B&W...
