A few years back I took a fall trip to Central Oregon since I had never really spent much time there and on a Saturday morning before heading back I stopped in at Smith Rock to see what the place looked like. I took my obligatory panorama of the primary geologic feature (3 shot TS-E pano):
But then I started noticing that there were more than a few people over on the cliffs just to the north of this - Rock Climbers. At first I was annoyed that there were so many people in the area I wanted to shoot and then I decided to embrace the situation and started shooting. The base of the cliffs had various groups clustered under their climbing spots::
I pulled out my 100-400mm lens and started watching their compatriots above:
Finally I added a 2x extender for an 800mm view:
C&C always welcome.
