Here is a little sampling of some cityscapes from a recent run through HK,Shenzhen and Tokyo:

#1 is Shenzhen, China a small city of around 15-18,000,000 this use to be a costal fishing economy 30 years ago :)
#2/3 is Tokyo 2 views
#4 is Urban density..at the Yick Fat building and apartment complex central Hong Kong. A reflection of old HK, it certainly dose not reflect the amazing beauty and intrigue of Hong Kong's modern architecture but a huge window to the past...

All comments welcome and thanks for viewing regards, Dean

A "small city of around 15-18,000,000"? Yikes.

I feel like I am living in a "village" of around 3 million people compared to these urban areas.

Shenzhen is pretty amazing.. before they turned it into the free trade zone which spurred this latest round of Chinese economic power it was really around 3-400,000. When I first started going there were no subways and now they have 11 lines. It's a pretty amazing place as is all of China . Shenzhen is not that photogenic however the view from my room a TS-17mm and a Scotch made me think what the hell its a nice view :)
