Wow! That's amazing Debbie! How did you get such a tight shot? When I try for bees they are always gone by the time I have moved my lens to aim at them.

Thanks Jim. Using a macro lens and a tripod you can pick out the spots that the insects are frequenting at the time and be focused in that spot. When I had the Canon 100mm 2.8 macro lens I did a lot of handheld shots as close as the lens allowed and then cropped the shot. I find it's easier to get active insects handheld than with a tripod. You can follow them around and move in close easier.
