Hole in the wall

Hello all. I do not think that I have ever seen any photos of this arch before. I would guess that there are many, I just have not seen any posted anywhere. It is located hundreds of feet above the Colorado river. My brother in law showed it to me from the top side about a year ago. You can actually see the river through it. I never thought to try to see it from the bottom of the canyon. In the 20 years I lived there, I never knew it was there. Craig Carr, do you know the name of this one??

Framing the tree in the arch helps to define the arch for this scene. Nice varnish on the sandstone.
Hello Alan. On my monitor at home, the exposure for this image looks correct, but at the office it looks underexposed. What do you see?

Does not appear underexposed on my screen. I am viewing this with a color corrected monitor profile. I never trusted what I was seeing on my work computers before I retired.

Hey Ryan,

What a really cool shot here! That is one neat arch.

As to the exposure it looks great as others have said. One thing in an office environment, monitors can end up being too bright, the lighting can be way too bright, so then the images don't look as good. Also it can depend on what browser you are using at work, lot's of variables. The first thing to try would be to bring down the brightness of your work monitor just a bit.

Thanks Jim! Just wanted a reality check!

Great shot Ryan!

I can't say I'm sure where that is. Is it the one across from the Moab Rim trailhead that the dirt bikers ride over sometimes? That's all I can think of.

Very nice arch and gorgeous with the tree in the middle - and there is a hint of a tree peeking over the top. Exposure looks just fine here - but that's a long way away!

Yes Craig. That is the one. Do you know the name for it?
