I'm been very kindly welcomed by Jim and Kyle to the forums which is gracious of you both, thankyou!

My name is Graeme Fryer and I live in Ireland although originally from the UK. I'm mostly a landscape photographer but I'll turn my hand to anything from still-lifes to abstracts. I'm also in position of a flaky star adventurer but as bad as its tracking can be at times, it still led me safely to this site via the god of google!

I've posted a few recent pictures below just to warn you what you have let yourselves in for. Incidentally, I've had a chance to peruse some of the member photos and I'm seriously impressed. Really going to have to raise my game!

Welcome to FocalWorld Graeme! Some really nice images to introduce your work. I especially like the last image with the fall scene along the stream and the moss covered rocks with an exposed petroglyph. The lighting in your still life shot is well done too.

When you add images to a thread please click on the blue Full Image button off to the right of the image to add them inline to your post. I fixed this post.

Thanks Al;an; good to know! I was looking at some of the astro shots on this site just now. Out of this world literally! I think I would be ashamed to post anything in that forum

Welcome to Graeme! :)

It's so awesome that you got directed here. I can tell right off the bat you are going to be a welcome addition here as I like your variety of photography. All 3 of these are great intro photos, but wow, your #2 image with the still life? That's totally top notch!

In #3, is that some prehistoric symbol carved into the rock?

Again, welcome! :)

Welcome to the forum Graeme. A nice introduction to your work. My favorite of your set is the still life. Nice lighting and the setting. Impressive. The first one is nicely framed with nice light. The last one has such a variety of colors.

Looking forward to more of your work

thank you everyone. I see there is option for albums. it that the best way to add photos? I don't want to spam the forums
@JimFox - i came across that carving quite by chance. i do love long exposure photos so apologies in advance. The still-life was taken in the attic here so very dark and just some natural light and about 4 sec exposure

We don't want you to spam the forums. :) But posting in the forums is where you will get the most feedback. The Albums are great for storing, and they can be fun to browse, but you won't get much feedback on them while they are in the Album.

What some of the guys like @AlanLichty does, is he posts his photos into the Photo Gallerys first. Then he will Create a Thread and if you see the camera icon in the bar above where you are typing, you can click on that, and it will take and insert a photo from your Album in the Gallery into your thread now for everyone to see and comment on.

So you could put a bunch of your photos into the Albums today even, and then every day just create a new thread in the appropriate Forum and then link it to one or more of the photos in the Album.

What size are your web photos you are posting?
