Thanks Trent - this might be one of the most iconic lighthouses along the Oregon coast.

Alan, this is a wonderful place! A beautiful bay with a lighthouse..
My attention is also drawn to the lower right corner of the photo, its extension a little down and a little to the right. I realize that then the image will not be so detailed, but at the same time I can't imagine what such an image will be like?
I wonder what the extension of the image would be down in the foreground and to the right towards the bay.. I think it could be very interesting and very nice too.

Thanks Peter. You are correct about the view looking more to the right and most of the scenes I have posted from there do highlight the little beach and a beautiful highway bridge as well. In this particular shot I was trying to get more of the beach beyond Heceta Head in the frame.Alan, this is a wonderful place! A beautiful bay with a lighthouse..

This is the scene from out over the Pacific looking at the beach that it to the right of the scene above on a stormy day.

Thanks Jim - the view from out over the water beats the ground views by a pretty large margin.
