This is an image I took of my wife of almost 30yrs when she was fresh out of basic. She joined the Army NG when she was 35, and they called her the old gray mare at Ft. Lost in the Woods as it's known. She has had a great career and retires this year in June.

That's so awesome! How great for her to join, and that's neat that she stuck it out all this time.

It wasn't easy for her. I remember her calling me from basic training a few weeks in. She was crying telling me she couldn't do it and what was she thinking when she joined. I told her to suck it up butter cup and finish what she started. We laugh about that now, but she wasn't very happy with me at that moment. LOL
