Golden Splash

i like it when I can get the right angle so that the wave splashes will line up with the sun and turn the water golden. The effect usually looks best with faster shutter speeds so the water thins out some so it can get lit up like a stained glass. A slower shutter speed which lets the water turn into strings will still turn a golden color but it's not the same feel.

Ilike this one Jim, the fast shutter has caught a lot of bubbles which gives a sort of gritty feel to it. The alignment is great

Nice when the pieces line up correctly for a shot like this.

You don't want to know how many rejects I have for this type of scene and I already posted all of the keepers on here this morning :D

Thanks Ben, I appreciate it.

It's a lot of fun when the splashes look like this and can get lined up with the sun.

Jim,
You feel like your standing right there ! Ben hits it on the head a gritty feeling . Working the light through the wave is pretty sweet.
Nice Shot, regards Dean
