Great set Michael - amazing you had so few other visitors to contend with in these images. I love the view down to the Henry Mountains over the goblins.

Ha ha, that last one does look like a potato!

I really like the morning light there the best I think. Not sue why but I think it's better then late afternoon light. I like how you got the Henrys in the distance, and that sand trap was an interesting place to stop.

Michael, those are amazing photos.. all of them!
Yes, I would also like to add Goblin Valley to my travel list, hmm, but that's really far for me - just moving to the United States for a year, but even that wouldn't be enough to experience everything that's beautiful in the USA. :)

I think we lose a little of the best sunset light because the sun hits the southern swell and puts Goblin Valley in shadow, whereas there is nothing towards the east to block the beautiful sunrise. If you happen to have some nice morning clouds at sunrise that helps a lot too.

I always plan on being there for sunrise wherever I am. Always seems to be fewer folks around earlier, afternoons are another story ...

Thanks guys - go off season if you can for less crowds. If the yurts are available-they are heated! Great to sleep on site than drive out from Hanksville or Green River.
