Glencoe yesterday

Monday a 1 day visit to Glencoe to photograph the river with Autumn colours. The light was very harsh, by the time the sunlight penetrates the steep sided glen the sun has been up for 3 hours so no soft early morning light. This image was taken about 1 hr before sunset as I was leaving to drive the 190 miles home and, if not the best image, it is certainly the easiest to process. I also include an image taken of the same location taken during a storm. Ken

I like the light you captured yesterday. The scene does look neat with the stormy conditions of your archive shot but I like the palette you got during yesterday's visit. The number of small waterfalls in the stormy shot are amazing.

I like the mood of your archive image. Stormy moody images are so cool. But I do really like the image you just got. The fall colors and the way they are lit really makes for some appetizing tones.

I do wish there was some more clouds or less in it. I do find for some reason the clouds poking over on the left ridge a bit distracting. I just scrolled down with that image cutting off a bit more then half of the sky, and I find the image a lot more compelling. My suggested crop is to crop right above the right most cloud. So you would crop off that bit of a peak on the very right. But it would leave a nice triangle of a sky above the fall, and there wouldn't be so much blue sky for the eye to wander in.
