'fraid that's the edge of the frame and not the scan.

Very nice color comp and background, a shame the right flower is cut off.

Nice close up. Nice composition. Nice selective focus. I particularly like the deep colors brought out by a dark background.

And I see nothing wrong with snipping the right edge. Don't need to stay within the lines! As a matter of fact, I'd have snipped off a little more to be more consistent with the rest of the picture..

Thanks for the comments. I am still amazed at the depth of color saturation in the images I got using Velvia film. I have yet to match the same effect using digital in spite of all the post processing I have learned to apply since my film days. Still not ready to yank my olde EOS Elan camera body back out.
