Soft light,the smell of damp leaves, dark puddles and the echo of breaking twigs and you know you are walking in the wood. The fungi are growing on the woodland floor amongst the leaf litter and on the moss covered woodpiles. Here is an image taken in the Felbrigg estate. I found myself scrabbling on the floor with damp knees and elbows with my 85L portrait lens and extension tubes. I preferred the smaller subjects using a really wide aperture. This narrow depth of field only provides an impression of your subject and imparts a dreamy luminescent feel to the image.

That limited DOF is wonderful here. I can imagine how you did have to get down on your knees to get this one.
