Fresh dusting

My trip to SLC saw wild swings in weather - from heavy rains, some snow dusting up in the mountains to temperature in the 90s. All this late may into first week in June.

When I drove up the alpine loop, this is one of the sights that greeted me. Taken with a long lens.

It can snow in the Wasatch any day of the year. Very nice image. I hope you liked the Alpine Loop. I should take you to some more remote views of these places.

Definitely not boring weather Summer doesn't come to the high country until its mid summer down in the valleys.

Thanks Ben. It was a fun drive. I exited the loop towards midway. Might be there again towards end of Oct or early Nov. Will hopefully catch some fall colors if not too late for that.

November is too late, 1st or second week in October is best. I will be doing Elephant Hill in the Needles District of Canyonlands the first week of October.
