Folly Rush: Sunset at Folly Beach Pier

I had a chance to get out and get my feet...and legs wet for a few minutes this week while in SC for work...time spent on a beach in the surf never disappoints. I will probably have one to add to this later, but for now this is the first edit, one of the last frames of the night as the light was really starting to get good and fade away all at the same time.

This is sweet Travis! I love that on rush of water, there is always something so cool about it that it's beyond words I think. Good use of the pier there too.

Thanks Jim, yes, that rush of water onshore is something I never get tired of photographing...its always a little different, settings are never exactly the same...its good fun.

Travis,
Beautiful image I love the reflecting light along the beach.

Thanks Dean. That reflected light on the water is one of my favorite elements, and key to the series. It being in the frame was important, it meant the left side was a little tight...so I am on the hunt for a CV15mm lens now!

The outgoing water really adds a lot to this scene. The fading light helps and adds an element of intrigue to the setting.
