Foggy CA20

A roadside scene from along CA Highway 20 west of Williams on the I-5 corridor. This is another Photo AI experiment on a shot from my old Canon D60 on a capture from the day before the shot of CA 1 I posted yesterday. I must say that I am impressed at what Photo AI is doing for these 20 year old captures that DxO won't work with.

Thanks Ben - most of my earlier editing efforts with this capture have had the dreaded blue halos around the branch tips both in the foreground as well as at the back. Topaz invited me to grab a copy of Photo AI before they hit v 1.0 since I owned several of their programs and the early versions were nowhere near as good as this most recent version. This is the first version I have considered even vaguely worthwhile so a pleasant surprise.

It did clean up noise at the expense of detail though. The foreground grass even at this resolution gives it away. On the positive side it looks like a painting.

Thanks Jameel - the spot it really flubbed is the grass down in front on the right. The interesting part is that it sharpened the grass down in front in the middle which is closer to the lens than the stuff that is a bit fuzzy on the right while the stuff in the back is sharp. AI still seems to be in need of some human guidance.
